Junior Golf
Where Junior Golf has no better friend!
During 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 the West Berwick Golf Club has:

1) Provided all the financial needs to start an MCHS Girl's Golf Team (5 straight years). The girl's team won its first Regional Championship in the fall of 2011 - in only the 4th year of competition. In 2012 Abbey Leighty made it all the way to the State Tournament

2) Provided meals for home matches for all teams participating 

3) Took the MCHS Boy's team to a practice round at the 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla

4) Provided meals to both girl's and boy's teams as they practice for the Regional, Sectionals and State Tournaments

5) Provided all equipment and costs to start the West Berwick Golf Range behind the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ (278 yards in length)

6) Provided 100% of the costs of the 2009, 2010 & 2011 Spring Golf Seasons: The Aces won three straight Big 8 Championships

7) Provided Embroidered coats for the 2010 boys State Champions and embroidered fleece jackets for the 2010 girls Regional Runner-ups. Provided Embroidered Fleece Pullovers to the 2009 Class A Runner-Up team as well as a DVD commemorating 2009 and a championship 8x10 of the team and their trophy. Provided Embroidered Wind Breakers to the 2008 Class A 7th place team as a commemoration of their historic appearance.

9) Provided meals to all participants, coaches and observers at NO COST for both the 2009 Boy's Class A Regional and the 2009 & 2010 Girl's Class A Regional., as well as the 2012 Class AA Sectional. The tournaments were held in Mt. Carmel

With the assistance of the West Berwick Golf Club, the Aces were able to accomplish their goal of winning a State of Illinois Championship. The Aces finished the fall season with a 74-5 record. West Berwick provided financial support for lodging, travel, meals and many extras!
Mt. Carmel Junior Golf Program
As part of the their support for Junior Golf programs at Mt. Carmel and in Wabash County, The West Berwick Golf Club will highlight the accomplishments of the Junior Golfers with Pictures and Commentary. Special thanks to Coaches John White and Karin Kelsey for their continued efforts in introducing golf to our communities youngsters.
12-13 year old boys - Played 9 holes. Coach Karin Kelsey, Kohen Smith, Colton Etzkorn, Dawson Brown, Blake Golden, Zach Kemper, Luke Rhinehart and Coach John White.

The Mt. Carmel High School Golden Aces - 2009 Class A State of Illinois Runner-up
7th Place in the 2008 Class A State Tournament in Bloomington, Illinois. Way to Go Aces!

The School Board approved adding Girl's Golf when West Berwick Chairman and former Captain John Rhine wrote a letter promising 100% underwriting of the team's expenses.
